HI mY dAD IS IN A NURSING HOME AND IS EXPERINCING A PROBLEM WITH OPENING HIS JAW. hE SAYS THE PAIN IS HORRIBLE AND IS UNABLE TO EAT. sWALLOWING IS BECOMING MORE DIFFICULT FOR HIM. tHE DOCTOR AT THE NURSING HOME PUT HIM ON AN ANTIBIOTIC HOWEVER THE MEDICATION IS NOW COMPLETE. nURSING HOME SAYS HE NEEDS TO SEE A DENTIST . wHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

I would have added anti inflammatory to antibiotic for a complete relief . Any way your father has already suffered a lot. It's better to consult a dentist soon as,
The symptoms your father has may be due to-
- irrupting wisdom tooth,
-Dislocation of jaw
-swelling of joint at jaw.
All these conditions can be taken care of by a Dentist only.
