first of all do not worry. a level of 223 of triglycerides is high but not very high. most of the time it requires only a bit of modification in life style. a diet like this may cause high triglycerides (almost exclusively carbohydrates) but one week may be a short period for such alterations. give him unsaturated fat
as a source of energy rather than only carbohydrates. make him exercise daily, keep weight optimal and repeat after 3 months.
