Diagnosed Myalgia And Mytositis And Ordered For Physical Therapy. Tried Many Medications With No Relief. Started Methyl Folate. Any Opinions?

I ve been fighting this overall pain for about 18 years. Starting pursing in 2000 and referred to many doctors and ran many test with all coming back okay. My rheumatoglogist appointment today diagnosed Myalgia and Mytositis unspecified and gave me an order for physical therapy. I ve tried many medications with no relief. So not sure where to go from here. I have just recently started going to a Nauropathic doctor on my own and he has found several things and I just started yesterday methyl Folate as a trial to see if I get relief. I m always say I m giving up on finding answers but can t. Any opinions?

Polymytositis as appears from your symptoms are mostly autoimmeune and keep on worsning slowly and gradually. immeunosuppresive drugs do help to some degree but does not cure it. If it is polymyositis then only supportive care such as physical therapy will help.
I would like to take your attention towards stem cell research and therapy which has got some success in treating polimyositis by immeunomodulation action however this is not completely proven as of now. some centers are providing it as a form of experimental therapy on case to case basis only
