Dark Red Discharge, Stomach Cramps And Stomach Pain. On Depo Provera Birth Control. What Does It Indicate?

Hi. I've been bleeding brownish red blood for about 5 days now. I thought it was just my period. But today I saw a clump of dark red "discharge"? I think it was. I've never seen this before. I've also been having very bad cramps & stomach aches for 2 days.
Other information:
I'm on the Depo Provera Birth Control Shot which I started 11/04/13

Hello,

Above clinical features may be due to side effect of Depo shot. Pelvic infection, endometrial or cervical polyp, hormonal imbalance etc are the other reasons of brownish discharge. One TVS scan is helpful to rule out the underlying cause. Kindly, consult with your doctor regarding this. Maintain genital hygiene.
