Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

I can understand from your description the amount of pain and agony you are experiencing at an age of 37 years.

I am not suggesting you any medical advice right now but a few general considerations that may boost up your morale -

* Get rid of the negative thoughts in your head.

* Get rid of the stress in your life (as much as possible).

* Get physically and mentally healthy.

* Begin to safely reduce the amount of narcotic pain medications if you’ve been taking them.

* Understand the current thinking regarding fibromyalgia, participate in your own recovery, and partner with a fibromyalgia specialist.

* Expect success – visualize it.

Hope this information is helpful. Good luck

Pathologist and Microbiologist Dr. Shailja Puri's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,

The throbbing pain and cyst in the hip socket suggests of infection and most probably pyogenic infection (collection of pus).
The laberal tear has to be repaired, else it will cause degenerative condition of the hip joint.
You need to consult your orthopedician for clinical examination, and relevant investigations.
If the focus of infection is present, it has to be treated with antibiotic cover.
The laberal tear has to be treated surgically.
Fibromyalgia is disease process causing fibrosis and causing generalized pain.
Steroids are commonly used for fibromyalgia.
Degenerative disc disease may lead to arthritis of the in inter-vertebral joints.
Your orthopedician can help you in all these conditions.

Thanks and take care
