Hi and thanks for the query, What you describe is a classical presentation of a yeast infection in the Vagina called Vaginal Candidiasis. This is simply due to extra proliferation of this germ which however is usually present. Pregnancy is a predisposing factor, as well as diabetes mellitus. Loss of a period or irregularities in a female of reproductive age always compels the possibility of a pregnancy to be excluded. I suggest you visit your primary care physician for a pregnancy test, fasting blood sugar for diabetes, a vaginal swab for a direct examination, culture and antibiotic sensitivity testing. Thanks and hope this helps. Best regards, Luchuo. MD.
