Does Taking Morning After Pill With In 72 Hours Control Pregnancy?

I took the morning after pill yesterday , it was less than 72 hours after sex, I am now getting white vaginal discharge? Is that from the morning after pill or could I be pregnant? He didn't ejaculate inside me but scared some may have got in some how. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

If you took pill within 24 hours then successful rate is up to 95%. Between 24-48 hours then successful rate is up to 85%. Between 48-72 hours then successful rate is up to 55-60%. If you did sex in safe period of cycle then chance of pregnancy is nil. But pill can cause delay in period by 1-2 week, earlier period and excessive bleeding can occur.

If period will delay by more then 2 week then rule out pregnancy by urine pregnancy test and or blood HCG to confirm pregnancy. White discharge could be due to side effect of pill as it contain high progesterone. Wash vagina with warm salted water then apply apple cidar vinegar. Maintain proper pelvic hygiene by using V vaginal plus wash. If discharge is associated with foul smelling, itching and increase in quantity the infection should be rule out by consulting gynecologist.

Infection require clingen and lactobacillus suppository. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise.
