could you interpret my pathology report.Breast modified radical mastectomy.invasive duct carcinoma intermediate grade,multiple residual foci measuring up to 6mm in a tumor bed measuring 1.5cm.Doctal carcinoma in-situ,high grade is admixed and focally present away from the invasive tumor,Invasive carcinoma is present in upper central breast (at site of prior biopsy rod)DCIS is present in the upper central and central breast.No invasive carcinoma or DCIS at margins.Focal fibroadenomatoid change.Duct estasia.Unremarkable nipple and skin.

I can understand your concern, the over all pathological report is suggestive of malignancy process but that is not progressive in certain part of the breast like in middle of the breast, still the some tissue are there which are the residual part of carcinoma, this need to be correlate with the clinical condition of the patient hope this information helps you take care and have nice day.
