Could The Wheezing Be The Result Of Anesthesia?
Hi my daughter of five years old had general anaesthesia however she had a really bad cough and green nasal discharge. They still carried out the procedure, following this the cough didnt go or the nasal discharge and the paediatrician said it was a viral induced wheeze. Following this she had to be reasessed at her own GP who gave amoxicillin and said no wheeze. could this wheeze have been brought on because of the anaesthetic and cold?

Cold is one of the major causes of exacerbation, but anesthetic effects for a long time are less likely although immediate bronchospasm may present because of secretion.
