Could The Pain In My Joints, Red Eyes And Cold Indicate Flu Symptoms?

Good morning

I started a sudden cold on Christmas Day in the afternoon, sudden bunged up nose and sneezing. Yesterday I thought I just had a very thick cold, I went to bed around 9pm then my joints began to ache and I felt very cold and shivery. When my husband came to bed he felt my body and said I was very hot, I had a temperature of 41* I slept fitfully but awoke this morning feeling less full of cold! no fever! mild aches only in my joints but the whites of my eyes are very red - is this flu? If so will I just get better? I feel a bit wiped out?

Hi,
From history it seems yhat you might be having viral infection giving rise body ache, malaise, shivering congestion in eyes etc.
Nothing to worry, take analgesic, decongestant medicines for 2 days.
Within a day or two you will be alright.
Take rest and take plenty of water.
Ok and take care.
