Could Protein In Urine During Pregnancy Be Due To Eclampsia?

hi i was wondering if yo u could put my mind at ease as i am freaking out. I am 29 weeks pregnant and today my blood pressure was 134/83 and the midwife found protein in my urine, she told me that my baby was growing normally. I am 24, weigh 104 kg. a friend told me that it could be pre eclampsia. is this likely?

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion preeclampsia is considered when BP is more than or equal to 140/90 mm Hg
along with swelling of feet and proteinuria.
So alone proteinuria cannot be considered
as preeclampsia. So it might be some diet related.Dont worry.Regularly check your BP levels.
Best regards...Dr.srilatha
