Could Dry, Cracking, Sore And Itchy Skin Above Labia Indicate Recurred Yeast Infection?

Hi, just above my labia, going out into my groin, there seems to be very dry skin that is cracking open and causing a cut. I had a yeast infection in January, and it seems like the infection is coming back, and the split is very sore and itchy. Is there a way to soothe the pain, or could it be a bigger issue? Thank you.

HI,
If you had yeast infection before, though there is possibility of repeat infection, Your signs do not suggest it.
Yeast infection is associated with cottage cheese/ curd like discharge .
Some times it can present with dry irritation to start with- when it follows unprotected sex with a person having the infection.
In case both the things are not applicable-
It can be due to allergy, low hormone( estrogen), Diabetes- which needs investigations followed by treatment.
Thanks.
