Hello,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
From your query i suspect that you may have one or two of the following possibilities.
1. Genetic or chromosomal defects
2. Autoimmune disorder
3. uterine abnormalities
4. Blood clotting disorders
In more than half of the
recurrent miscarriages, there is no cause identified at all.
Recently a new concept of "Super- Fertile" is identified for cause of recurrent miscarriage.
In that, Cells from the women with normal fertility rejected the low-quality embryos and began to grow toward the high-quality ones. Cells from the women with recurrent miscarriages reached out and grew toward both the high- and low-quality embryos.
Thus some women uterus cells find difficulty in identifying the high quality embryo and this finally end in recurrent miscarriage.
Here i will discuss one by one so that you can understand the cause as well as it will be helpful for further investigation and treatment.
1. Genetic causes are difficult to identify. But it is most common among aged female who plan to conceive.there may be a chromosomal or gene error.
2. Uterine causes are so for easily identifiable cause recurrent history of miscarriage. it may be treatable or non treatable as there nay a bifid uterus, of thick or thin septae.
3. Autoimmune disorder is also difficult to identify unless otherwise we suspect.
Antiphospholipid Antibody syndrome where proteins attack the normal placental tissues result in miscarriage. there may be immune related thyroid problems.
I advice you to do
complete blood count including
platelet count,
bleeding time, clotting time, thromboplastin time,
partial thromboplastin time.
2. Do complete thyroid profile
Ultrasound and MRI abdomen and pelvis
3. If possible check antiphospholipid antibodies
4. it is very difficult and costly,
genetic testing.
If the cause is identified with this investigation, it is better to treat and try conception again with the help of gynaecologist.
If not , then we have to go for assistance methods or adoption.
Hope this helps. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
