Congestion And Hearing Loss Due To Polyp On Ear Drum. How To Resolve It?
I have a polyp on my ear drum and a large mastiod cavaity due to a radical matiod cavaity performed in 1996. The cavity was reduced in 2010 but appears to have lapsed. I have felt conjestion and hearing loss for sometime but never really know when i have an infection due to nerve contusion (identify infection as sight of discharge) Unfortunatley i also have a drainage issue ? the polyp. How is this likely to be resolved most effciently?
I have gone through your query regarding polyp and discharge from your ear which had already being operated twice. Unfortunately your hearing is also reduced.
After considering all aspects of your complaints and co-relating possible pathological process going on it appears as you still have suppurative otitis media with polyp.
Unfortunately the correct remedy of treatment is operation only. So please concern any senior ENT surgeon for your treatment.
Regards.
