Child With Loud Snoring After Viral Infection, Breathing Through Mouth. Possible Adenoiditis?

My baby used to occasionally snore a bit but after a viral infection she had for two weeks her snoring has ba come very noisy lately and she breathes through mouth but rarely with her mouth closed too.its been three weeks now, she is 14 months old, if it's adenoiditis is adenoidectomy indicated in all cases, at what age?

It is nice that you have noticed the snoring. Here are my suggestions to you

1. Make her sleep on the side and not upright, this will prevent snoring most of the times.
2. Approach an ENT specialist to check for adenoids.If the adenoids are inflamed she might have to be put on anti inflammatory agents temporarily.
3. Adenoidectomy is indicated if it is causing a drop in the saturation while sleeping, it can only be checked in the hospital through a saturation monitor.

Do not ignore the condition any further as respiratory apnea can lead to growth retardation
