Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

From the treatment given I understand that your baby is having wheeze associated respiratory illness or acute bronchiolitis.

Avoiding people who are coughing and not coughing in front of the child will prevent transmission. Hand washing is important.
Older children with cough and cold should not be allowed to play with the baby.

Normally I do not prescribe the syrup you were mentioning of in that age group babies.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
