Child Got Hit By A Glass Bottle. Have Raised Bump. Complains Of Dizziness, Black Spot. Suggestions?

My daughter who will be 13 in a month hit her head with a glass bottle. I was handing it to her from above and it slipped and hit her forehead. We put ice on it immediately but she is complaining of a headache still after two hours even though I gave her ibuprofen. She complains of dizziness when standing and just mentioned black spots. Her pupils seem to be responsive when I shined a flashlight into them. She is in bed now. Should I wake her a couple of times in the night and then see how she seems in the morning? She does have a raised bump about the size of half a marble.

Hi and thanks for the query,
The signs you describe I suggest should warrant a proper clinical evaluation. Head trauma accompanied by changes in behavior, headaches, nausea or vomiting or visual disturbances might warrant a CT scan.
But in this case, I suggest a clinical evaluation, scoring of her neurological status and follow up to ascertain if the child would actually deserve a CY scan or not. A proper clinical examination for look for neurological deficits is compelling.
I suggest you consult your emergency care physician for a proper clinical evaluation and management.
Thanks and best regards,
Luchuo, MD.
