Chest Pain In Left Side, Breathing Hurts, Tenderness In Underarms, Ear Pain. What Is It?
Hi I have pain on the left side of my chest when I breath, also tenderness on my left side under my arm and on the left centre of my chest. Have this pain for about four days but has got progressively worse. Not debilitating or anything. Last monday I had a sharp pain in my right ear. This pain shot laterally across my chest and was very severe in my right ear it only lasted a second. Thanks
Dear Ma'm/ Sir Thanks for your query. 1. The pain which lasted for a second is not an anginal pain. 2. The pain on left side of chest, persitent for four days, increasing on breathing and associated with tenderness on touch is more likely to be a local, soft tissue muscle or bone related pain. A pain from coverings of lung may also behave in a similar manner, however it is more commonly associated with cough/ fever. expectoration. In such cases local tenderness is uncommon. It is unlikely to cardiac in origin. Do see your physician for complete evaluation. Sincerely Sukhvinder
