Hello sir

Nuchal cord (umblical cord wrapped around fetus's neck) is a quite common phenomenon. It is common for infants to be born with it
Standard protocol is give a trial of vaginal delivery while monitoring the fetal heart rate with contractions in labor to see if the baby tolerates them. If not a cesarean is the safest way to deliver.

Nuchal cords rarely cause fetal demise and are not intrinsic reasons for intervention. Umblical knots on the other hand can be fatal

Dr Shah
