Can Taking Zopiclone Be Safe For Insomnia?

I was on zopiclone for almost 2 years, they stopped working ... and they tried me on remeron, which was a joke, so now back onto zopiclone 2 per night, but now the two aren't working, am I able to take 3 at bedtime?? I have a long wait to get into the doctors again, and I just went thru 1 1/2 months of insomnia . .. what do I do?

Zopiclone is safe and has relatively few side effects. You can take 3 tablets at bed time. But before that, I would suggest you to follow some sleep hygiene practices. If these does not work for you, then consider increasing the dose;

1. Avoid napping during the day.
2. Avoid stimulants such as caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol too close to bedtime.
3. A relaxing exercise, like yoga, can be done before bed to help initiate a restful night's sleep.
4. Stay away from large meals close to bedtime.
5. Ensure adequate exposure to natural light. Light exposure helps maintain a healthy sleep-wake cycle.
6. Establish a regular relaxing bedtime routine.
7. Associate your bed with sleep. It's not a good idea to use your bed to watch TV, listen to the radio, or read.
