Can Stopping Estrostep Cause Dysmenorrhea To Return?

I stopped taking Estrostep birth control pills due to the high cost. My gyno put me on them for dysmenorrhea. I have been on the pill for 4 months. Since I stopped taking the pill, will the next period I have cause me to have dysmenorrhea again? I started spotting heavy today & my period isn't expected until Feb 12.
Thanks

HI, I went through your query. When you have been on estrostep for a long time your body takes some time to get back to its normal self again. So you may not get your periods on time. Your first few cycles will be very unpredictable. Dysmenorrhea may or may not be present. However after 3-6 cyclesyou will get back to normal cycles with dysmenorrhea and normal dates. Hope this helps.
