Can Prostate Cancer Be The Cause Of Erectile Dysfunction?

I am trying to work out what is causing my partners erectile dysfunction. He fathered a child with me 7 year ago but this was one of the very few occassions we had penetrative sex.

He has recently developed prostate cancer, I know treatment can cause ED but he has suffered from it for years.

He still lives in the same house as his domineering mother at 57 years old. He has tried pills like Viagra but they have not worked.

Do you have any idea what the likely cause may be and how to treat it?

Many thanks

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can advise you regarding the treatment, but i need to know your partner's age. It's also needed to know, what treatment your partner is taking for Prostate cancer, and if he's on any other treatment. Accordingly, my advice will also differ.
Lack of privacy also can contribute towards ED.(erectile dysfunction ).
You can contact me directly, for an expert opinion.
