Can Interaction Between Azithromycin And Epilim Cause Seizure?
Hi, I have been tested positive chlamydia recently and have been prescribed 4 tablets of azithromycin to be taken at once. I am epileptic and am currently taking 2x300mg Epilim per day (depakote), I am concerned the drugs could interact and cause seizure activity. Any thoughts?
Azithromycin can be taken while on Depakote. There is no documented harmful interactions between these two medications hence Azithromycin may be taken safely while taking Depakote for the treatment of seizure.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
