Can Implanon Cause Bleeding, Headache, Back Pain And Mood Swings?

I am 20 years old. I have been on the birth control implant Implanon since September 2011, inserted about a week after a 1st trimester surgical abortion.
For the 1st 2 weeks after insertion of the Implanon, I had very little to no vaginal bleeding. Starting around the 3rd week up to now, my bleeding has been constant, and heavier than my normal cycle.
I have also had headaches, back pain, and mood swings since the bleeding has increased.
Is this something I should be worried about, and should I have the Implanon removed?
