Can Dented Implanon Cause Severe Bleeding, Cramping And Extreme Back Pain?

Hi, I have had the implanon in since april 2010 however it is either dented or broken. I havent had a period snce october 2010 until today where it is suddenly very heavy and severe cramps in my stomach and bad lower back pain. Any advice? Is the implanon still effective if dented? why am I suddenly getting heavy periods after non for over a year. any advice appreciated.

If Implanon has been broken or dented, it can release hormones in higher amounts than intended leading to heavy bleeding. It is important to get the Implanoj removed at the earliest. So please follow up with your ObGyn.
