I recently took a CRP blood test and the results were high - 4.5. I have a posterior calcaneal spur which I am scheduled to have surgery to remove next week. That area of my heel is red, raised, painful - could this inflammation have caused the high count? If not, should I be alarmed by this number? (64 year old female, 5 6 , 241 lbs.)-haven t been able to do my 30 min per day walks for a couple of months because of the spur (have gained weight because of this) but do water aerobics 4x aweek...for the most part pretty healthy, no problems//only Rx I take is 10mg lipitor for cholesterol , (1) 81mg aspirin and (3) calcium 600mg+D3 daily)
