Can An Old Head Injury That Caused Vertigo And Nosebleed Affect Adversely In Present Situation?

I slammed into a brick wall a year ago and hit the back of my head behind my ear. I had vertigo for about a mouth or so. That went away. Twice now on the same side I hit my head my eye has been blood shot. Could I have a problem from the head injury that I had that long ago? Could it be caused from a sinus infection. I also Have a blood problem, bruise easily and use to have a lot of nose bleeds when I was younger before I had the veins in my nose burned. I have factor seven deficiency decease.

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.

Old head injury can cause headaches or dizziness later on also.

However, with a history of new injury, it is better to repeat the CT scan of the brain to exclude any new internal brain injury. This is more important as you also have a factor VII deficiency.

As of now, you can take symptomatic treatment with medications such as betahistine for dizziness and ibuprofen for headaches.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
