Can Montair And Bricanyl With Sinarest Be Given To A Child With Allergic Symptoms?
Hi,
My son is 3 years old. His weight is 16 Kg. He is suffering from allergic symptoms like running nose, watery eyes and sneezing. I have given him Montair (Montelukast 4mg + Levocetirizine 2.5 mg) for 2 days and he is quite better but not fully OK. My question is - since he can take Montair only in the night, can I give him Sinarest in the morning and afternoon? Also, he is suffering from bad cough during sleep due to post nasal drips. So, in the night, can I give him Bricanyl along with Montair?

Yes, all these medicines are appropriate for a productive cough, especially if there is wheezing, fast breathing and a history of similar problems in the past, pointing to asthma-like condition. However, it would be best if you did not do a hotch-potch of medications. Stick with Montair once a day and Bricanyl to relieve his chest symptoms. Sinarest has many different formulations, and I do not know which one you are referring to.
