A recent pelvic ultrasound was performed. The findings were bulky hetergeneous uterus with a 1.8 fibroid. Doctor says I have adenomyosis. I am very symptomatic of this condition with extreme pre-menstral pain, menstral pain, heavy bleeding that lasts more than a week with clotting. I am currently getting my perios every 3 weeks and I was told my iron is low. I am scheduled for a Endometrial Ablation at the end of this month. My question is should I opt for removal of my uterus instead. I am 43 years old and have 3 children. I also had a tubal ligation about 10 years ago. Please advise.
