Although my periods have been a little irregular for te past year or so . Sometimes a week or 10 days early sometimes a week later .. Than my usual 28 day cycle .. What could this be?
Hello, What you have is Ovulation bleeding (Mid-cycle bleeding). Usually it is brown in color, not red. You can take it for granted it is a normal phenomenon. This shows your fertility. Some people say that it's due to estrogen drop. There are other causes like Contraceptive pills, Intrauterine device, Hormonal imbalance, and the release of egg cell along with a small amount of blood. Ovulation bleeding may present for a few hours to several days. If it's associated with other symptoms like severe pain abdomen and cramps, you have to consult your Dr. Otherwise nothing to worry and no treatment is not needed. Best wishes
