Bleeding During Intercourse. Had Unprotected Sex. Pinkish Spotting After Taking Plan B. Pregnancy Chance?
My Last normal period began on march 27 and ended april 1st. Then on april 9th i began bleeding during intercourse. The bleeding continued for what seemed to be a normal period lasting five-six days. Then on may 1st i had unprotected sex and took plan b on may 4th. Then had a short period that lasted two days may 11 th and 12th. Light pink spotting only when I wiped on may 15th. On may 22nd I again experienced light pink spotting only when I wiped. Could I be pregnant? Or are these just the effects if plan b?
Dear user, welcome to healthcare magic. Plan b pills should be taken as early as possible. They are 95% effective if taken within the first 24 hours, and less effective after that. The only way to exclude pregnancy is to have a blood test for pregnancy. The disturbance you describe is not the effect of plan b pills. If the test is negative, I suggest you take the combined oral contraceptive pills for three months at least (if not contraindicated) in order to resume your mestruation in a normal fashion. If the pregnancy test is positive, you will have to visit your doctor to have an ultrasound in order to confirm a healthy intrauterine pregnancy and to exclude ectopic. I wish you good luck. Dr. Ahmed Bahaa.
