Banged Shin, Applied Neosporin, Area Below Scrape Feels Numb. Advise ?

My son banged his shin at the swimming pool and had a 4 to 5 inch scrape. We put neosporin on the scrape and he was fine. Now two weeks later he said his leg about two to three inches below the scrape feels numb. I looked at it and he has a area about three inches around that is hard. No bruise. No pain. Is a little warm on that spot. Please advise.

Hi.
There might be having some infection over that part.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course after consulting your doctor.
After infection becomes clear he will be alright.
If problem persisted, then gho for x-ray of shin to rule out any infection in shin of tibia.
Ok and take care.
