Are Heat Strokes Due To Deficiency Of Vitamins Or Folic Acid?

Hello!. I get heat strokes during summer. I can't take even a 5 minute walk in Sun. Burning Eyes, headaches, acidity, burning feet & whole body, mouth ulcers, severe constipation are usual symptoms. I can't diegest any rich food.

How can this can be corrected. Is it due to deficiency of D vitamin or Folic Acid

Hello,
I read your question carefully and i will give my best to resolve it.

First of all, I would like to tell you that heat strokes are usually very common in people who are low in B complex and other vitamins like anti oxidant vitamin C and E and few minerals like magnesium, Zinc, Calcium.

I would like to tell you that during heat stroke and sweating, B complex and other vitamins, minerals and electrolytes like sodium, potassium are lost through the body and that will aggravate the condition. So if you are low in these nutrients, you will be easily fatigued and have symptoms of heat stroke.

I would like to suggest few things for prevention of heat stroke.

1. Drink plenty of water. That is your first priority!!!

2. Have vitamin C rich foods like fresh citrous fruits...

3. Eat calcium rich diet containing milk and milk products, green leafy vegetables...Along with calcium, magnesium is equally important, so have magnesium rich foods like green leafy vegetables, legumes, etc.

4. Sodium and Potassium are very important electrolytes which are lost through sweats, so keep this in check by having foods like bananas, broccoli, citrous fruits, etc. also avoid fluids containing caffeine and alcohol...

5. Wear light weight and loose fitted clothes, use sunscreen with SPF 30 or more, avoid going outdoor unnecessarily during day time....

Hope this will help you and let me know if you have any further relevant queries.
