Hi, Welcome to Healthcare Magic. I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns.
She is definitely pregnant. This is a very early pregnancy. Probably she had delayed ovulation. So it is normal to not see a pregnancy sac on ultrasound. Tell your friend to take a tablet of folic acid daily. She has two options: 1. Wait for a week and repeat the ultrasound. By then she should see the pregnancy sac by transvaginal ultrasound. 2. Do quantitative Beta HCG now and repeat it after 48 hours. The second result should show an increase of at least 66% to confirm it as healthy pregnancy. I suggest that she wait for a week and repeat the ultrasound. I hope this is helpful.
