Am I Unable To Conceive Because My Cervix Faces Towards Buttocks?

I have been trying to get pregnant for abt 6 months now. I have been following ovulation calendars, checking my cervix and having sex every other day. I still haven't been successful. Sometines when I check my cervix it is facing towards my butt. Icoukd that be the reason? My doctor told me cervix was slightly tilted with my last pregnancy. What am I doing wrong?

Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
When your cervix is tilted towards the back, then the uterus is retroverted.
This is a normal variant, and in no way is responsible for infertility.
Please consult an Infertility specialist.
You need to have basic hormonal assessment.
Also semen analysis of your partner.
Then please undergo a cycle of follicular monitoring to check if ovulation is on track.
ALso, a laparoscopy to assess the patency of your fallopian tubes should be done.
Take regular folic acid supplements, and maintain an ideal weight.
All the best.
