80 Year Old Suffering From Upper Respiratory Infection. Fever, Nausea And Pain In The Back And Legs. On UTI Treatment. Proper Diagnosis?

My mother is 80 years old and is just recovering from an upper respiratory infection she had for a few weeks. While she was still taking antibiotics for that illness, she developed a fewer, chills, nausea, pain in her back and legs, and dizziness. The doctor is now treating her for a UTI but they didn't do any tests during her last doctor's visit. Does it sound like they have the correct diagnosis?

Welcome to HCM.A routine and microscopic urine test of the midstream morning urine sample will confirm the bacterial infection and help in the managing the treatment.Stopping all antibiotics and doing a culture and antibiotic sensitivity test will help detect any resistant bacteria and the best antibiotics if there is no response to empirical therapy.Consultation with a specialist in geriatrics may help.
