45 Year Old Wants To Conceive Without The Use Of Donor Eggs. Is There Any Possibility?

I am a 45 year old women. I have a 25 year old son from my first marriage. I got my last menstrual cycle at the age of 38 years old. I also had a tubul ligation unfortunately when I was 20 years old. Bad move. I have been on a quest to have more children by my second husband for the past 10 years. I have seen a few different specialists in the past 7 years, and of course there seem to be nothing anyone can do to help me. I really, really would love to have kids of our own - without the use of donor eggs. Is there any hope for me?

Hello Good evening,

You told that you had last menstrual cycle 7 years back that means you had menopause.

You should know about menopause:

It signals the end of the fertile phase of a woman's life, however, rather than being defined by the state of the uterus and the absence of menstrual flow, menopause is more accurately defined as the permanent cessation of the primary functions of the ovaries.

The ripening and release of ova(egg) and the release of hormones that cause both the creation of the uterine lining, and the subsequent shedding of the uterine lining, that is also known as menses or menstrual period.

So how it is possible to conceive without egg, hopefully you will understand.

Regards.
