4 Year Old Having Stomach Pain And Vomiting Dark Brownish Substance. No Fever. Could That Be Blood?

My 4 year old daughter vomited all over her bed in the middle of the night. It was a dark brown color and had little small bits in it. She doesn t have a fever and said she felt better after she vomited. She hadn t eaten dinner because she was complaining that her stomach hurt. Is this serious? Could she have vomited blood?

Hi,

Your daughter had a bout of indigestion. It is not a serious condition.

It is good to hear that she has no fever. There could be a tinge of blood in the vomit but that is not concerning.

Give her liquid food and semi-solids for some time now. After a day, you can give her solids.

Do not worry; she will be fine soon.

Regards,
