37 Weeks Pregnant, Itching In Body. High SGPT, SGOT. Prescribed Udiliv. Suggestions?

hi i am 28 years old and have 37 weeks of pregnancy.i have itching in my whole body. my serum sgpt(ALT) is 70 and serum sgot(AST) is 104. what should i do to control it.My doctor suggested me to take udiliv 150 twice in a day.is it enough to control my sgot and sgpt.What should i do ?is this harmful for my baby?i want to have a normal delivery.will it affect it in any ways? please suggest me.

Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Let me explain you that A L T & AST are liver enzymes and normal range is 5-50 I U .
In your case 70 & 104 I U ,but this is not specific according to study .
If level elevated and more then 200 I U then specific ( few books mentioned 300 I U ) . .
Since you are pregnant and this liver enzyme level is not a cause of concern.
2nd point to be noted that the side effect of udiliv 150 mg (ursodeoxycholic acid) is that this drug is CONTRAINDICATED in pregnancy, so you should not use .
As you are 37 weeks pregnant so all parts of baby has developed so need not to worry ( as for already drugs use).
