Brief Answer:
should have been absorbed by 2 hours

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Doxycycline or azithromycin are normally used to treat chlamydia. One of these may have been the medication used.

Doxycycline is rapidly absorbed after it has been taken. It reaches almost peak levels by 2 hours.

Azithromycin- the time for the concentration to peak is between 2 to 3 hours.

This means that if either of these was used, most of it if not all , should have been absorbed by the time you vomited.

Your partner would have also needed to be treated.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

protected intercourse for a week

Detailed Answer:
HI

It would not be transmitted if there was no intercourse.

He should use his medications and any intercourse should be protected for at least a week to make sure that the infection is clear.
