Brief Answer: symptomatic treatment will help Detailed Answer: Hello XXXX, I am sorry about the pain that you are suffering during your menstrual cycles. It is a common problem for women, mostly in reproductive age group. I am glad your scan was normal. I do not think it is hereditary. Here are my suggestions to you: - take simple analgesics like Tablet Cyclopam or brufen when in pain. - Drink plenty of fluids orally in your periods time. - Hot fomentation locally on the abdomen will give you relief too. - Adequate rest is important too. This is due to the hormonal changes; and only symptomatic treatment like above is suggested for the same. I would not recommend you any medicines for this at this moment. Wish you good health. Regards,
