Question: Hi Dr! On 13th day of follicular study results are as left ovary -msf, right-19*15 mm, endometrium 11mm.I took clomid 100mg for 5 days from second day of cycle.I m also taking loin 0.5 mg for prolactin control twice a week. Whether taking this medicine can be a hindrance in conceiving? What are the chances of conceiving? Are msf in left ovary a problem? Doctor has asked for study on 14th also and advised to have relationship for three days. Kindly suggest?

Brief Answer:
Good chances of conception, findings are very good.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
No, the medication taken for controlling Prolactin levels will not interfere with conception.
As such, the egg development is excellent.
When the follicle reaches a size of 20 - 22 mm, it ruptures, that is, ovulation happens, that is the best time for conception.
Chances of conception are good for you, as egg size is good.
LEt me know what the scan done on the 14th says.
Also, the endometrium is good and thick enough.
MSF means multiple small follicle in left ovary, which is normal, as only one ovary will have dominant egg .
So that is not a problem also.
Please remain sexually active and do not stress out.
Take regular folic acid tablets.
SInce how long are you trying to conceive ?
What is your age ?
Is your husband's semen analysis report normal ?
How many times have you taken Clomid ?
Looking forward to hearing from you with more details.
Wishing you lots of luck.
Take care.

14th day reading 21*19, yet not ruptured, is it normal

Answered by Dr. Aarti Abraham (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
Yes, normal, dont worry.

Detailed Answer:
Well yes, it might rupture in a few hours, dont worry.
Get a scan done again tomorrow.
If it crosses 23 mm, and is not yet ruptured, you might need a trigger injection of hormone( HCG ) to rupture it.
Remain sexually active meanwhile.
