Brief Answer:
means your right tube is blocked

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

As per your HSG your right fallopian tube is blocked by something which has got calcified in the tube.

Now to get to know what exactly is blocking it you will need a scopy down there or laparoscopic exploration of your tube.

But left tube is patent.

Hope i have been helpful.

what does calcified mean?

Also note that i had an ectopic pregnancy two years ago and they removed my left tube.

After the HSG is stated that my left tube is consistent with a left salpingectomy. what does that mean?

Brief Answer:
see below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

When anything remains at a place (where normally it should not be there) the body tries to remove it, and when that fails it tries to cover it with a fiberous layer and start depositing calcium over it to make less immunogenic. This calcium deposition is seen as 'calcified' object.

And regarding thr left side, removal of tube is called salphingectomy. So the HSG finding on your left side shows that your left tube has already been removed.

Brief Answer:
mostly

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It may be removed by scopy or laparoscopic approach. But there is no guarantee to that. But you may givevit a try. Talk to your gynac about it. She will be the better person for it.

Or else you need to go for IVF (In-In-Vitro Fertilization).
