Is Bleeding Normal When Ovaries And Tubes Have Been Removed?
Hi, I had a bilateral salpingo oophorectomy on Jan 13, 2014 as a proactive approach to being positive for BRCA2. I gave continued to get my period each month and sometimes two times per month since then. I am also using the Climara Pro patch. Is this bleeding normal when my ovaries and tubes have been removed?

Hello,
As you are BRCA2 positive with History of bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and already on Climara pro patch, the irregular bleeding is not normal.
I suggest you visit a gynecologist so that she can properly examine you.
You might need to go for a Pap smear or diagnostic DNC to rule out the main cause of irregular bleeding.
