What Does My Pap Smear Test Report Indicate?

default
Posted on Tue, 27 Jun 2017
Question: Hello,
My Pap smear showed HRHPV 16/18 for a few years. I did colposcopy in March 2017. I had an abnormal result from endocervix.
Curretage: Squamous intraepithelial lesion, difficult to definitely grade, but a high grade of squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) is favorite.
What is, in your opinion, my next step? Another colposcopy, LEEP? How dangerous is this?

Brief Answer:
LEEP is must

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for trusting HealthcareMagic. i have gone through your reports.
Get LEEP dissection as soon as possible
Alone colposcopy will not suffice
It is not dangerous as yet as it is a slow growing cancer but cannot be left unanswered
Also if after LEEP the margins are positive for cancer then you might need hysterectomy as well
Take care
Regards
