Question: I am attaching the complete details of my case of Bone Tuberculosis diagnosed in Nov 2013 and cured completely.

I have subscribed to term insurance plan now and I have undergone complete medical tests now and the insurance company has rejected stating " Your Insurance policy is declined due to Cancer".
I am attaching all the current medical reports also. I want to know how correct is the insurance company about my current health condition.

Brief Answer:
You were having tuberculosis not cancer.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.

I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,

After going through your query I concluded that you was having multifocal tuberculosis involving many sites, it was biopsy proved and treated by anti tubercular drugs. So your case was clear cut case of tuberculosis and not of cancer.
But in discharge summary there were some doubtful entry which may be written by mistake such as page 5 of discharge summary writing? Ewing sarcoma and page 7 it is written this is known case of Ewing sarcoma of tibia. Ewing sarcoma is bone cancer. In my opinion this should not be there in discharge summary. Insurance company took advantage of it and rejected your claim. But in detail examination of your paper and discharge summary you were suffering from tuberculosis and not from Ewing sarcoma.
You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.

Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Thank you Dr XXXXXXX

It is now 11 years since I had the bone TB and I have moved to another city. please advise what is the best resolution I can have so that the insurance company can be proved that I don't have any bone cancer.

Can the insurance company not make out that I don't have cancer for last 11 years ?

Please advise if I can approach a consumer court as there is no cancer proved ?

The current blood /urine tests and also TMT done in Nov 2014 are absolutely fine as I understand.

Brief Answer:
Explain about it only solution.

Detailed Answer:
HI, Girdhar
Welcome back

You are not having any cancer then or now, it is only wrong entry in discharge ticket which confused them. There is no evidence of cancer itself is proof. Whole body PET scan can be done to exclude cancer but it is unnecessary. Please tell me whether you want to take old claim or wants to purchase new policy. You can move to consumer court as you are not having any evidence of cancer as per reports. But you may need explanation from hospital about wrong entry in discharge summary. Your current reports are normal.
You can discuss with your Doctor about it.

Hope your query gets answered.
