Question: Dear Doctor,
I am 36 years old house wife. I am facing the problem of vaginal itchiness since 4 to 5 months. I visited several times to Gynecologists for same issue & they prescribed some antibiotic & Triben B skin lotion. If I am using Triben B skin lotion feeling relief in itchiness & if I am not applying the lotion for 2 to 3 days then facing the same problem with rashes or slightly pain also. My thyroid level & blood test report is normal.
Could you please guide me?

Brief Answer:
mixed vaginosis

Detailed Answer:
HELLO,
thanks for the query to hcm ,
If the vaginal itchiness is persistent then it is likely that it is not fungal infection alone but a possible bacterial vaginosis may also be a feature. So a high vaginal swab may taken and cultured to isolate the fungal and bacterial organisms and then a combined treatment is probably required in form of vaginal pessaries and oral fungal agents.
The prescription can be obtained from you local physician but a high vaginal swab is a must.
