What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Groin Area?

Question: I was diagnosed with a bacterial and yeast infection, can this cause swollen lymph nodes in the groin? My doc says this happens, i just want to make sure
I was diagnosed with a bacterial infection.. I just started with my antibiotic last night but I also have a swollen lymph node in my groin area. It's very small about the size of an almond but it's also very very tender to the touch. I've seen 4 different dollars about this, 2 have said they aren't sure why I might have this because a yeast an or a bacterial infection in the vagina does not cause this. And then the other two doctors claimed that my body is fighting off an infection so this is normal. But then online I keep reading that bacterial/yeast infections do not cause this. So I'm just a bit confused and no doctor has helped, I'm not sure if I need to take further action. No one really seems to be concerned but I am because other than my bacterial infection I feel fine, no fever, no sickness what's so ever. I have also been tested for STD's including herpe, all came back negative. s
