What Causes Sore Throat With Constant Pain And Red Bumps In Throat?

Question: My daughter has a Sore throat with constant pain and even more pain when she swallows, she does have dark red bumps all over the back of her thoat some white bumps on here tonsils. It looks like strep throat.

I am so sorry to hear about this sore throat that your daughter has. I have reviewed this information fully and the attached image. This looks more of a viral sore throat and more likely is she has cold associated symptoms. If she does, please report them to me. For pains, I will recommend a combination of Tylenol and Ibuprofen thrice daily. This way, we will be able to adequately control the pain. If this fails to regress, then testing for strep and treating with antibiotics would be considered.
