Brief Answer:
I think it is acute bronchitis...

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thank you for posting your query to HCM!

I went through your query and I think I understood your concerns.

From what you have described above, I think that you may be suffering from an acute bronchitis that may be caused from a common cold. Since it is summer, you are more likely to catch a cold when you sweat and then stay in air conditioned areas.

I advice you to take Acetaminophen to relieve pain and Syp Bromhexine 10 ml three times a day for your cough. Bed rest is recommended and the intake of a lot of liquids, such as water, juice etc.

If your condition lasts more than three or four days, I advice you to get a complete blood test and a Chest X-Ray. Anyway, I think that you should see your physician for a thorough analysis of your condition.

Feel free to ask me for anything that may be unclear to you.

Take care,
Dr. Behar Greca

Thank you for what seems like a realistic answer. My chest feels sore when I'm in motion, so that go along with your thoughts as well. Is it contagious if is bronchitis?

Brief Answer:
Chest pain is caused by cough...

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for posting again.

Chest pain is caused by cough and toxins released by microbes.

Common cold can last 4 days up to 1 week. Common cold is contagious, but it's less likely for acute bronchitis to be contagious since it is a complication of common cold.

I hope my answer is clear enough to you.

Regards,
Dr. Behar Greca
